Dr. Chang is a Magna cum Laude graduate of Harvard University. He earned his medical degree from the University of California Los Angeles, followed by an internship at the UCLA Medical Center. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Jules Stein Eye Institute (UCLA), where he serves as assistant clinical professor of ophthalmology. Dr. Chang holds memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Jessica Cao, MD completed her vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the highly renowned Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute, where she trained with many leaders at the forefront of cutting-edge vitreoretinal surgery techniques.

Dr. Cao has co-authored numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed publications. She has presented her work at national conferences in ophthalmology and vitreoretinal surgery. She has also served on numerous advisory boards. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists and is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Christian Sanfilippo, a graduate of the Stein Eye Institute at UCLA vitreoretinal surgery fellowship program, also completed his ophthalmology residency training at the Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. His numerous publications include studies on the use of multimodal imaging, wide-field angiography and OCT angiography in the diagnosis and management of retina disease as well as contributions to book chapters on topics ranging from hereditary and pediatric retina diseases to inflammatory and vascular conditions of the posterior segment.

Amir Guerami, MD completed multiple internships at the National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health prior to attending Georgetown University, where he graduated with honors in Biology and Psychology. He then graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine where he stayed to complete his residency in Ophthalmology and served as Chief training in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at the prestigious University of British Columbia, which is known for its high-volume intensive surgical training. He then returned to Baltimore to serve on the faculty of the University of Maryland as Clinical Director of the Department of Ophthalmology and Director of the Retina Division until his move to Los Angeles in 2013. He continues to take an active role in surgical teaching as a Clinical Instructor for the UCLA/Stein Eye Institute. Dr. Guerami has been selected as one of Southern California’s Super Doctors since 2019.
